Intraday Stock Options Trading: Choosing the Right Option
This session covers an intraday stock options routine from stock selection to entry and exit.
First the market view is formed on the Quantsapp home page: Built-up Breadth shows how many stocks are in long or short built-up, and Index Contributors and sector counts show which side is driving Nifty. With a bullish view, Intraday Movers on a 3-minute time frame lists the top price gainers.
On the chart of the chosen stock (Tata Power, then Polycab), a resistance zone is marked where price was rejected several times. The entry comes on a breakout of that zone when buyer initiated quantity clearly exceeds seller initiated quantity and RSI strength is above 50, with the stop loss at the zone low or swing low and a 1:2 or 1:3 risk to reward target. In a bearish market, price losers would be used instead.

Now let's just go on to Quantsapp and see how you can do intraday stock options. Now, it's very important to understand that in intraday we don't have high expectations; generally you can keep the targets at 1 is to 2, 1 is to 3, depending upon the market conditions. Now initially you need to make a view, like which side you are seeing the market. So simply you
can scroll down here on the homepage itself, and you can see the built-up breadth and the index contributors. As you can see, the built-up breadth is showing you that overall most of the stocks are in long. So now if you see the current timing, okay, the recent timing, you can see there are 136 stocks in long built-up and the others, 50, in short. So overall the market has a bullish view. With that, you can see the stocks, 38 stocks are providing positive points to Nifty, 12 stocks are providing negative, but overall, as you can see, Nifty is overpowered on the bullish side, okay? Again, you can see sectors also: we are seeing 13 sectors performing, three sectors are not performing, so that is giving you an overview that the market has a bullish intention. Now with that, you can see the built-up of Nifty also: you're seeing the OI is increasing, you are seeing the price is increasing, which means the stocks have a bullish intent. So today we are going to see the price gainers, and we want to trade on the bullish side. So simply you can come here to Intraday Movers and keep a 3 minute time frame. Now you change it to a table view and see, in the price gainer section, which of the stocks are gaining price in the last 3 minutes. Now you can see Tata Power here as the first stock, so you can simply go to the chart here,
and you can directly go to the chart, and as you can see, the chart is opened of Angel One, okay, just a second. So we'll come here, and you can see that Tata, Tata Power is giving you good performance, so we'll see Tata Power here, okay? So simply, you know, I'll just remove the extra indicators. You can see the BIQ and SIQ, so BIQ and SIQ give you the overview of which side we can see the price momentum. Now with that, you can take an insight with the help of the indicator, so then you can put RSI, and you can add a, just a second, yeah, I'll just refresh the page. Now you can simply add RSI here, okay, and a moving average, and you can make an entry point for yourself. So simply, I'll just add RSI.
Okay, so RSI is added now. Now you can see the price action at this particular moment: you can see that basically the price, from the morning, is in an uptrend, and now it is almost at the resistance, okay? So the price is almost at the resistance level. You can see the price has tried to come to this level multiple times and it has been rejected, so basically this has become our zone now, okay? So I'll just mark the zone here, just a second, yeah. So you can see this is a zone which is acting as a resistance; we are seeing the price coming into this zone multiple times. Just a second, yeah. So you can see that the price is coming here multiple times and being rejected, okay? So now what you need to do is, now you can see there is a breakout coming in the zone, okay? So now you can see that I have marked the zone, okay, where you are seeing the price being rejected multiple times. Now, as you can see, the price is crossing that level, and if you see the buyer initiated and seller initiated quantity, you can see there's a
good difference in the buyer and seller initiated quantity, almost. If we see the recent candle, if we go to the last candle, okay, so in the last candles you can see the buyer and seller initiated quantity is showing you good action by the buyers, okay? Just a second. So you can see, now also you can see the buyer activity is very heavy here, okay? So there is a breakout, and with that you're seeing heavy buyer activity here. Now with that, you can see the strength has also increased: you can see the strength went to the lower half and now the strength has also increased. So if the strength is above 50, and you are seeing a good breakout with good buyer initiated quantity at that moment, this is the point where you can make an entry, okay? So again, here, this is your entry point, somewhere here, and if you make an entry here, again, simply you can make an entry here, this zone's lowest point will be your stop-loss, okay? Just a second. So you can see this particular zone's last point will be your stop-loss, and with that your target will be simple: as I said, you can keep 1 is to 2, or 1 is to 2 or 1 is to 3. But if we talk about the buyer
initiated quantity, you can see good buyer initiated quantity at this moment, okay? So simply, you can grab this 1 is to 2 momentum, okay? So now you can see that basically the system has set up. Now you can see that at the breakout you have kept the stop-loss here, almost around a 1 rupee stop-loss we have here, okay, and with that, in front, you are getting around a 2 rupees target, okay? So a simple setup you can make like this, okay? Initially, in intraday, whenever you're seeing the buying action is happening and strength is increasing, this way you can basically start your trade. And again, risk to reward should always be such that, basically, the stop-loss should be such that if the zone is going, if the price is going below the zone, that means somewhere the price is again being rejected, so your stop-loss will be hit, and if the particular price goes up you'll get your risk to reward. So this way you can basically make entries: you can identify stocks from the Intraday Movers and make your entry and exit in the stock this way. So basically, with the help of the indicators, technically we are making an entry, and the exit also on the basis of the technicals. So now we'll just take another example, okay? So let us just go to the homepage again. We'll go to Intraday Movers again and put the 3
minute time frame. Now you can see Polycab is showing you good action, okay? So you can simply jump onto the chart, okay? Again, simply, you can put RSI as the indicator here, okay? Just a second. So you can see the price action, which is showing you that the price has broken out of the resistance, okay, where the price was stopping; the resistance has been broken out, and you can see there's good buyer initiated quantity at this moment. So this is indicating to you that somewhere the price action has begun in the stock. So again, you'll make an entry here, okay? If you make an entry, your stop loss should be here, near the low, the swing low, and with that you can take a target of 1 is to 2, this way. So simply, by identifying the stock in Intraday Movers, the Intraday Movers tool is helping you out in the identification of the stock. So you can see the OI gainers, price gainers, price losers, depending upon your trade style. Let's just suppose now we consider the market is bullish, that's why we are seeing the bullish stocks; if you had considered the market to be on the bearish side, you could have gone for the price losers. So this way you can identify stocks and initiate trades. So I hope you got the concept. Thank you so much, guys, for watching.
