Quantsapp's Advance Decline chart measures the breadth of a market move. A stock is advancing when it closes above the previous day's close and declining when it closes below it, and net advances is the difference between the two counts.
This lesson explains that when net advances rise with the index, the trend has broad support, while falling net advances during an index rise can mean only a few large stocks are lifting it. It shows how to use this to judge trend strength and find stocks for swing trades.
