A Fair Value Gap (FVG) is a price jump caused by an imbalance between buying and selling pressure. On a chart it shows up as a large candle whose range is not fully overlapped by the wicks of the candles next to it, unlike small gaps that do not show a real imbalance.
This lesson explains how to spot FVGs and the ways traders approach them: trading into the gap, using the gap as a support or resistance zone, and combining it with indicators and stop-losses.
