Built-up Breadth: Gauge Changes in Market Sentiment
Built-up Breadth looks at the futures built-up of every stock in the NSE derivatives segment at intervals of 1, 3, 5 or 10 minutes and turns it into one view of market sentiment.
Each stock is labelled by futures price and OI change: longs (price up, OI up), long unwinding (price down, OI down), shorts (price down, OI up) and short covering (price up, OI down). This short lesson explains the concept of built-up in futures, the ratio between these states, and how to reach a clear sentiment reading for day trading.
