Best Trading Strategy Using RSI & Bollinger Bands Indicator
Relative Strength Index (RSI) and Bollinger Bands are two popular technical indicators that can be used together to help identify market extremes and reversals:
Bollinger Bands
A tool that measures a stock's volatility by creating bands around the price. Traders use Bollinger Bands to identify overbought and oversold assets.
RSI
An indicator that measures the average ratio of positive and negative price changes. An asset is considered overbought when its RSI value is above 70, and oversold when its RSI value is below 30.
A strategy that combines RSI and Bollinger Bands involves waiting for the RSI to indicate overbought or oversold conditions, while also ensuring that the price is beyond the Bollinger Bands. For example, if the price goes above the upper band of the Bollinger Bands, a trader might enter a short trade. If the price goes below the Bollinger Band, a trader might enter a long trade.
While this strategy can be effective, neither RSI nor Bollinger Bands are very effective on their own. Using them together can help avoid trading on false signals.
