Option writing (also called option selling) is a strategy where traders sell options contracts to earn premium income. The seller collects the premium upfront, which becomes a steady source of cash flow if the contract expires worthless. Unlike directional trading, this strategy focuses on generating consistent returns by taking advantage of time decay (Theta).
